Subject: Deep Rest Retreat đ˛ October 2024
Retreats are powerful portals for self-discovery.Â
My journey started in 2017 with a retreat on the Oregon coast. It was peer-led and mostly focused on business, but what happened for me was deeply personal.Â
Without client sessions and piles of laundry competing for my attention, I was able to slow down and meet myself exactly where I wasâwhich, at the time, happened to be neck-deep in burnout.Â
Over the years, Iâve attended and facilitated many different types of retreats. Thereâve been peer-led masterminds, somatic healing journeys, sacred plant medicine ceremonies, business planning weekends, deep rest retreats, wellness gatherings with friends, and unguided solo adventures.
Regardless of the theme, each retreat gave me exactly what I neededâa sacred space to be fully present with myself.Â
When youâre busy being of service, you donât have time to meet yourself with the same loving presence you reserve for everyone else. The result of all of this over-giving and under-receiving is that you lose touch with yourself.Â
When people ask how youâre doing, your immediate response is, âFine, thanks!â followed by a quick redirect to get them talking about themselves. You know youâre not really fine, but you donât know what youâre actually feelingâŚand youâre kind of afraid to find out.Â
As your stress increases, it becomes harder to know what you need.Â
Out of desperation, you start outsourcing your decisions to other people because you lack the capacity to source your own wisdom about what is right for you. Coaches, therapists, friends, colleagues, priests, pastors, teachers, parentsâthere are hordes of people willing to give you their opinion, and honestly, youâre relieved for someone to just tell you what to do.Â
But hereâs the dealâŚÂ
Every time you let someone else decide whatâs right, you move a little further away from that deep, intuitive, all-knowing being who lives inside of you.
You know the answers to all of your questions.Â
If youâve forgotten how to find those answers or if you want to deepen your relationship with yourself, Iâd love for you to join the Deep Rest Retreat in October.Â
This retreat will give you the sacred space you need to rest, recharge, and reconnect with yourself.Â
Youâll experience a blend of luxurious rest, deep personal exploration, joyful connection with community, and just enough practical business application to keep your CPA from questioning if you should really count this as a business expense. đ
This is a space for you to meet yourself.Â
The portal to self-discovery is opening to you now!
Nothing is off limitsâgrief, rage, joy, inspiration, creativity. When we welcome all parts of you (and meet each of them with love and curiosity), magical things happen in your life and business.Â
