Subject: my trick for slowing down time
You know life is moving too fast when the seasonal display at your grocery store is your clearest indicator of the passage of time.
You run into the grocery store to grab something for lunch (because you forgot to make something at home) only to be assaulted by a giant display of Peeps.
How is it almost Easter? Wasn’t it Christmas like two days ago?
As a modern business owner, you spend a majority of your waking hours with your butt in a chair, arms angled ninety degrees, eyes glued to the computer screen.
You blink and it’s been five years.
Your kid is going to high school. You still haven’t taken that trip to Italy you’ve been dreaming about for decades. And wtf is up with all of these wrinkles on your face?!
If you think about it too hard, you get panicky. It feels like being sucked up into a tornado—life is a chaotic blur of dreams and deadlines, and all you really want is to breathe and be present.
Life is moving way too fast, but it feels impossible to slow down.
You’re afraid if you slow down…
>> you’ll fall behind.
>> you’ll never accomplish your goals.
>> you’ll be crushed under the weight of unmet expectations.
And that all sounds terrible!
So you decide to step on the gas and hope that if you work hard enough, you’ll be able to slow down and enjoy your life… someday.
But we all know that’s not how it works!
You deserve to enjoy your life right now.
You want to exit the chaos tornado and enjoy the fruits of your labor today, not at some arbitrary point in the future when you’ve maybe stockpiled enough resources to retire.
You also want to lean into your ambition and build the business you know you can create! That entrepreneurial part of you is real.
You want to honor your ambition, enjoy your life, and slow down.
But is that really possible?
Yes, it really is possible.
Slowing down doesn’t mean doing less.
Slowing down allows you to go deeper and travel farther. As my favorite saying goes, “The slower you go, the faster you’ll get there.”
Over almost 15 years of entrepreneurship, I’ve discovered that the best way to slow down without sacrificing my goals is to sync my life and business with nature.
Synching with nature allows me to…
>> Take frequent pauses to breathe and reassess my needs
>> Know when to step on the gas and when to pump the brakes
>> Feel less isolated and more connected to the natural world
>> Tap into joy, pleasure, and creative flow whenever I’m working
It’s a radical—and simple—approach to life and business planning that will help you become deeply rested and wildly successful.
If you’re curious about this approach, I’d love for you to join my Spring Planning Workshop on Friday, March 21st.
You don’t have to do anything to prepare for the workshop.
I will hold your hand the whole way as I show you how to harness the energy of the spring season to set intentions, create momentum, and cultivate growth in a natural and sustainable way.
You’ll walk away with a personalized three-month action plan that integrates your intentions for your life and business.
Plus, you’ll leave feeling calmer, clearer, and deeply connected to a like-minded entrepreneurial community.
This is how we slow down without giving up.
It starts with a pause and a plan.
The Spring Planning Workshop will give you a chance to do both.
Click here for all of the details.
Let’s grow our businesses together.
Warmly,
Maegan
