Subject: The pep talk you need this week.
Don’t let the darkness pull you under.
“Honestly, Maegan, I am so overwhelmed. It feels impossible to focus on my work right now—like my business is the last thing that matters when the world is falling apart.”
Erin’s hands shook as she set her mug down on the saucer. She stared off into the distance, her eyes dull and lifeless.
It startled me.
My sweet friend, usually overflowing with joy and vitality, was acting like a battery barely hanging on at 1%. I’d never seen her so drained and unmoored.
But as I looked around, I realized she was far from unique.
Everywhere I turn, I see darkness and suffering. My friends and clients are scared and exhausted. Showing up for their clients feels impossible when they can barely soothe themselves.
As I sat there with Erin, sipping tea and listening to her share an existential dread I couldn’t counter with any logical argument, I started to panic. Erin was on the fast track to truly burning out and throwing in the towel on her business—not because she didn’t care, but because she couldn’t bring herself to focus on her work when the world was falling apart.
That’s when it hit me: if Erin burns out, every single client she supports will falter… and that might lead to some of those clients throwing in the towel… and how many more people would crumble due to that client giving up?
On and on and on it went.
“Erin, stop,” I reached out and grabbed her hand, “I know you’re tired, but you’re not expendable. We need you.”
This is the refrain that is reverberating in my mind…
We need you.
I’m not saying it’s your individual responsibility to solve the systemic injustices and climate catastrophes we’re watching unfold before our eyes.
That’s impossible.
But together, when we each commit to serving our unique purpose by supporting the people we’re meant to support, we can collectively contribute to the protection, healing, and nourishment of the world we want to live in.
We. Need. You.
This moment demands that we step forward with all of our love and compassion as we use our unique medicines to tend to the wounds of our friends and neighbors.
Your business matters now more than ever—for your personal well-being, for your clients, and for all of the people your clients will be able to support and encourage as a result of the support and encouragement you are giving to them.
(And let’s be honest, you’re probably not financially able to stop working. We need to keep making money, too. That’s part of this challenging reality.)
I’ve spent the past few months thinking about how I’m meant to be of service now, and I’ve decided to focus on expanding my one-on-one holistic business coaching offerings.
Unlike traditional business coaching, which focuses on ideas generated by your “business brain” and follows rigid step-by-step strategies, we’ll work together to uncover what’s next for your work using spiritual exploration and anti-capitalist nature-based business practices.
You can read all about holistic business coaching here.
To keep things flexible and accessible, I have two offerings available.
My primary offering is Catalyst, a 12-week private coaching engagement designed to help you reconnect to your intuition, clarify your vision, and clear the obstacles preventing you from reinventing your life and business—even while the world is falling apart.
I have 4 openings for private clients at the current rate.
The second option is a single coaching session—perfect if you want to dip your toes into the woo waters of business coaching with me before committing to a full three months together.
I have a limited number of single sessions available each month, and you can book them directly right here.
I believe in the power of the work you’re doing.
If you feel a nudge that we’re meant to work together, let’s talk.
In the meantime, I hope you’re doing everything possible to nurture your tender heart and protect your energetic boundaries during this chaotic time.
Warmly,
Maegan
