Subject: wtf is even happening right now?
How are you doing this week? Like, for real?
Not sure if you’ve noticed (that’s a joke), but things are rough out there. Yesterday, during our standing weekly meeting, Nancy and I gave up on our agenda and spent an hour talking about the barrage of bullshit pummeling us from every direction.
As Nancy wisely observed, “The vibes are bad.”
It’s true. Everywhere I look, the vibes are bad. People are hurting. Relationships are deteriorating. The world is burning. Violence is looming. A new world order is trying to emerge.
It’s too much.
And I know most people reading this newsletter are space holders for other people. On top of dealing with your own disorientation, anger, fear, and heartbreak, you’re holding yourself together to help other people process their feelings. It’s mind-boggling.
So, how are you doing?
How do you keep doing business when your heart is breaking?
I’m not sure.
We’ve decided to declare a “state of emergency” and eliminate all non-essential tasks for the next two weeks to create space to breathe and settle into the chaos of change.
Sometimes, you have to just stop and be. Now is one of those times.
